Ancient Warrior SG – Making Fantasy SG a Modular System

We have been hard at work once again. This time we have a new idea. Instead of making expansions to games, why not make a game be stand alone or totally change how another game plays. The idea is common in programming, but something seldom used in board game design.

Fantasy SG was a stand alone card game made over a half a year ago. The premise was to be a game that people would play prior to the real game. The game was meant to be quick and agile. This enabled the idea that the game could be used to determine the first player in a game.

This game maintains the same moniker of being a ‘starter game’ but uses entirely different mechanics. Instead of balanced skirmish style game play, this game features programmed movement for those skirmishes. The beauty of the game is that you can add the Fantasy SG cards into the game to make a whole new game. Ancient Warrior SG is a great microgame for a great price.
